Blue Star Mothers of America Inc, 1SC Midlands Chapter

Blue Star Mothers of America Inc, 1SC Midlands Chapter, is a non-partisan, non-political, non-sectarian organization.

We do not support any political candidate, nor do we endorse any religious organization. The military represents all aspects of America, as does our organization. We are a 501(c)3 Organization. Our organization serves the areas in South Carolina that include but not limited to Richland and Lexington counties. We meet the third Thursday of each month at the Lexington VFW Post #8738, 424 Cedarcrest Dr. Lexington SC, 29073

Mission Statement

We are mothers, stepmothers, grandmothers, foster mothers and female legal guardians who have children serving in the United States military, guard or reserves, or children who are veterans. We support each other and our children while promoting patriotism. Our organization focuses on our mission every single day and will never, ever, forsake our troops, our veterans or the families of our Fallen Heroes.

What We Do

Nothing compares to the joy we feel knowing we are making a difference for our military sons and daughters
who are deployed abroad a care package from “home”.

While we enjoy our holidays with family and friends; our troops sacrifice their holidays at home and time with families to stand and protect our country. If you would like to be a part of our mission, you can donate online below, our mailing address:

Operation Stars and Stripes Care Packages

Our care packages remind our Service members that our love and support are with them as they serve.

Operation Stars and Stripes Care Packages

We are blessed to work with many local churches, schools, businesses, and other community organizations in collecting and shipping
needed seasonal items to our service men and women while deployed.

You can show your support and make a difference for a service member by assisting us with the donation to purchase care package items or the items themselves that we incorporate into “Care Packages” we prepare and send over to our deployed troops.

“I am the Mother of a United States Service Member.
My child gave me this title.
I will give them a heart full of wonder their accomplishments and a voice that praises their desire to serve.
I will place my faith in their military training and in God’s protection.
I will give them prayers that will follow them where I cannot.
I will be strong when I want to cry and brave when I want to cower.
They will know that I am behind them every step of the way.
Because I bear the title of Mother of a United States Service Member.”
