Hat’s off to the Congaree Area Girl Scout Council for selling the 13,000 boxes of cookies to our service members. As you can see they were much appreciated. It cost Blue Star Mothers of over $7000.00 to ship these cookies. Before we can commit to working on this effort with the Girls Scouts next year we must have the money on hand to pay the postage. Our other projects are still on course and continuing but our current budget can not take on the Girl Scout endeavor again next year without your help. Tax Deductible Contribution. I work in a medical clinic where hundreds of soldiers come weekly and we placed your boxes out for any soldier to take. The very soldiers you see on CNN and other news programs are the individuals receiving your wonderful gift, both cookies and reassurance that you are behind us and supporting us. Thank you so much!
